At the time, former Assistant Principal Peter Della Ratta praised Progress Learning as \u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the best thing in all my 20 years of being in <\/span><\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/santarosaschools.org\/en-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Santa Rosa County Schools<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d He and other educators shared how it saved teachers time, helped students close learning gaps, and provided powerful tools for standardized test preparation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, we\u2019re checking back in to see how Progress Learning has become even more integrated into the classroom! One standout example? <\/span><b>7th grade ELA teacher Alma Fowler<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014a dedicated educator, small business owner, and student advocate\u2014who is using Progress Learning to <\/span><b>create a more structured, engaging, and student-driven learning experience<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Building Student Ownership in Learning<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mrs. Fowler continues to implement <\/span><b>structured daily routines<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that help students take ownership of their learning. Each day, a student <\/span><b>reads aloud the lesson\u2019s objectives and standard<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, setting the tone for class and reinforcing key learning goals. This <\/span><b>student-led approach<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> fosters accountability and ensures that every learner understands what they should master before leaving the classroom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To further <\/span><b>track and celebrate progress<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Mrs. Fowler utilizes the <\/span><b>Green Dot Challenge<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a Progress Learning feature that encourages students to work toward mastering standards.
