Thomas Sauve, the middle and high school principal of Elmwood School District in Wisconsin, first heard about Progress Learning in an unexpected way: on the way to a bar after a state principal\u2019s convention in Green Bay.<\/p>\n
He was talking about how he wanted to improve his school\u2019s ACT\u00ae scores, when Tim, the principal at Two Rivers High School, spun around and said, \u201cI\u2019ve got something for you!\u201d The two started talking and Thomas learned about Progress Learning.<\/p>\n
This is Elmwood High School\u2019s second year using Progress Learning. In their first year, they only used the benchmark assessments. This year, they’ve expanded to include both benchmark assessments and curriculum for the ACT\u00ae<\/a>. Freshman and sophomore students take the benchmark assessments twice a year. Juniors take them three times a year, plus the actual ACT\u00ae in spring.<\/p>\n
